About The Author
Suzanne Girard Holmes
The author of this book, Suzanne Girard Holmes, was born in Massachusetts. She grew up in Deep South of Florida. Suzanne has been happily married to her loving husband, Bobby, for thirty years. They have been blessed with three beautiful children, Shannon, Nick, and Robert. Her eldest daughter, Shannon, is an RN and currently studying to become a nurse practitioner. Her middle son, Nick, who this book is inspired by, is in the Marines. Suzanne’s youngest Robert is a student at FSU, Tallahassee. Being the career-oriented and ambitious woman Suzanne is, she had completed twenty years in the automotive industry as the Controller of Nissan. Unfortunately, in 1995, Suzanne was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and soon became temporary paralyzed on her left side.
Luckily, after years of treatment and therapy, she finally recovered and got back to work. This time, Suzanne stepped into the hospitality industry and opened two restaurants. However, after the recession in 2009, Suzanne had to close both the restaurants and went back to the car industry. She worked with the same dealership she was working with previously. In 2015, Suzanne received the news that her MS had returned with a vengeance, and this time had moved to a progressive form. After three years of treatment, her MS is not gone by any means, but she keeps her mind busy through writing.
